Evening RESET
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
What we collect, how it is used, where it is stored, and how your private journal entries are handled.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Evening Reset ("Evening Reset," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit eveningreset.app, create an account, or use the Evening Reset experience and related features.
Evening Reset is designed for Christian women who want a guided space to reflect on their day, bring what they are carrying before God, and intentionally reset their attention.
2. Information We Collect
- —Account information: first name, email address, password information handled through managed authentication, account creation information, sign-in information, and email-consent status.
- —Google Sign-In information, if you choose Google authentication: email address, verified status, name, profile picture URL, Google account identifier, issuer information, and related authentication information. Evening Reset does not request access to Google contacts, calendar, or other Google account data.
- —Journal and reflection content: information you enter into Evening Reset journal experiences, including RESET entries and Scripture + Soaking entries.
- —Reminder preferences: whether reminders are enabled, selected days and time, timezone, reminder mode, and whether a reminder should be skipped when you have already journaled.
- —First-touch source information: where you came from when you first arrive, such as a platform/referrer category and referring domain.
- —Technical information: standard hosting, CDN, and server/request information such as IP address, browser or user agent information, timestamps, and requested URLs.
- —Browser storage: authentication session data, an unsaved Scripture + Soaking draft, and first-touch attribution information.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and maintain Evening Reset; manage accounts and authentication; save entries you choose to save; provide requested PDFs; send account-related messages; send optional journaling reminders when enabled; respond to support requests; maintain security; and understand basic signup sources.
The current application does not use advertising or analytics tracking platforms such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, PostHog, Plausible, Mixpanel, Hotjar, Sentry, or similar advertising/tracking SDKs. We do not currently sell personal information or use journal content for advertising.
4. Your Journal Privacy
Your journal entries are intended to be private to your account. Other members cannot view your entries, and the administrative interface is not designed to display journal or Scripture + Soaking entry content.
Evening Reset uses client-side encryption for protected journal content. Under that design, journal content is encrypted in the browser before it is saved, using an encryption key associated with your account. The service is not intended to receive your journal answers or the secret answers used to unlock the journal.
You may choose three personal questions and answers to unlock your protected journal. Evening Reset does not store those answers. If you forget all three answers, previously encrypted entries may not be recoverable. There is no administrative recovery key for this system.
A device may remain unlocked for a limited period. You can also lock the journal from account settings.
Because encryption is implemented in a web application, no website can promise absolute security. We use reasonable measures appropriate to the service, but no system is completely immune from unauthorized access, loss, or compromise.
5. Sit With Scripture | Scripture + Soaking
The Sit With Scripture | Scripture + Soaking experience can be used without an account. You can journal and download a PDF without an account.
An account is required if you choose to save a Scripture + Soaking entry and return to it later. An unsaved entry may temporarily remain in your browser's local storage on that device.
6. Email Communications
Evening Reset may send service-related email such as account confirmation, password-reset messages, and journaling reminders when enabled. Reminder emails may use your first name, email address, date, monthly theme, and relevant Anchor Scripture text. The current application does not send a newsletter or marketing campaign.
7. Service Providers and Third Parties
- —Cloud infrastructure for authentication, database, and application hosting.
- —Managed email infrastructure for account and reminder emails.
- —Google Sign-In when you choose Google authentication.
- —Google Fonts, which may receive technical request information such as IP address and user agent when fonts are loaded.
- —Hosting/CDN infrastructure, which may maintain standard operational request logs.
- —Google Search Console for site indexing and aggregate search/indexing information.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The application does not currently use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. It may use browser storage needed for authentication, temporary drafts, and attribution. Hosting or CDN infrastructure may use operational technologies necessary to deliver the service.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts, provide requested functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements.
The current application does not provide a self-service account-deletion control. Account deletion is handled through backend user-management processes. When an account is deleted, associated account and journal-related records are designed to be removed through the application's deletion relationships. Browser-local drafts may remain until cleared.
To request deletion, contact the support address published on eveningreset.app.
10. Security
Evening Reset uses managed authentication, password hashing, HTTPS/TLS, row-level access controls, and protected server-side processes. The private-journal architecture adds client-side encryption for protected journal content.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are also responsible for protecting your device, browser session, account credentials, and journal-unlock answers.
11. Children's Privacy
Evening Reset is not currently designed as a service directed to children. The current application does not collect a birth date or use age verification.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights concerning access to, correction of, deletion of, or other control over personal information. You may also control optional reminder settings and choose whether to use Google Sign-In.
For a privacy-related request, contact the support address published on eveningreset.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when Evening Reset changes or when legal or operational requirements change. The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the support/contact address published on eveningreset.app.
